All these processes that I will tell you here, if you want to see them in video format, watch the video below.

Creating blog before adding domain

We need to create our own blog before connecting the domain to our blog. Once we have created the blog, then we will keep our blog's dashboard open.

On the other hand, we will open the dashboard of our namecheap account. Once we have opened these two accounts, we will then connect our domain to the blog in the following way.

Put the namecheap domain name in the blog.

Open the Blog Dashboard and then the Settings section. And then go to the "Publishing" section. After opening the custom domain tab there. There you have to add your domain name. Domain name has to be added along with extension and also www as given below.

www.example.pk

  • The first part is "www" which means World Wide Web.
  • The second part is the domain name such as "example".

  • The last part is the extension. Such as .pk, com, in

  • After adding the domain, we will click on the Save option. This will open a new window, some of which wye will add to our namecheap account in the domain's DNS.

Go to the domain list in the namecheap account dashboard. Then we go to the Domain Management List.

When we go to the list, we will see different options. Of these, we have to go to Advance DNS. There we have to add host records. So that our domain can connect with our blog.

The records that came before us after saving our domain now need to be added to the domain's DNS. The different stages of which are as follows.

A Record :

In this section we also have to add some A Record. So that our domain is fully functional. That's how we add it.

  • There is a link in front of all these CNAMES and at the end of the window. This link has to be opened.

There is a link in front of all these CNAMES and at the end of the window. This link has to be opened.

  • When the link opens, this page explains the setup custom domain which is described in different steps. You have to go straight (step: 3). There are some records in numbers. They have to be added to the A record of DNS of your domain. All four records are the same for the domain. They are as follows.
  • 216.239.32.21
  • 216.239.34.21
  • 216.239.36.21
  • 216.239.38.21
  • These are required to connect each domain and are the same.

Second A Record :

  • Then in the same way (step: 3) we have to copy the second code. Then again select "A Record" in dns setting and add "@" in "HOST" field and paste another code in "Target".

  • This is exactly the method we use to add the next two A records.

After saving all these records, we have to turn on the redirect domain status. Also turn on "HTTPS Availibity". And with that comes "HTTPS Status". In this way, anyone who searches for our domain or verifies the name of the blog will see our blog on Google.

redirect domain, HTTPS Availibity, HTTPS Status

After turning this on, our blog will not be open because domain providers do some work on the platform and Google backend which takes 15 or 20 minutes to complete. After that our site or blog will open.
